Visit the

Memory Garden

The memory garden is situated next to the gatehouse/lodge of Lauriston Castle.  Not only does the garden contain a variety of plants and shrubs, but it also features fixtures that stimulate the memory of those whose powers of recollection are becoming blurred.  It provides a balanced mix of relaxation and interest.   Being in the grounds of Lauriston Castle, there are also beautiful walks and views to enjoy.

Memory and Activity Garden

The Edinburgh Forget-Me-Not Garden is a quiet and stimulating environment for people living with dementia and can be enjoyed by the whole family.

Lauriston Castle

Lauriston Castle, situated in the suburbs of north-west Edinburgh, is a stunning 16th century tower house with 19th century extensions overlooking the Firth of Forth. The substantial grounds are open all year round as a public park. With its calm, tranquil atmosphere, and stunning views across the Firth of Forth, Lauriston is the perfect place to escape from the bustle of the city centre.
Enjoy a woodland walk, a visit to the award-winning Japanese Garden, or step back in time and experience what life was like in an Edinburgh middle-class home at the beginning of the 20th century.  It is also the site of the Edinburgh Forget-Me-Not Garden.
